  • Industrial carbide burrs

Carbide is the hardest material next to diamonds and will outlast high speed steel cutters.
Carbide burrs are sometimes regarded as rotary files and come in many shapes and sizes.

They are used for shaping, smoothing and material removal on hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, nonferrous metals, fired ceramics, plastics, hard woods and other hard materials.
Typical applications are weld preparation, weld smoothing, deburing, chamfering, deflashing, and scale removal.

Do not use these for drilling holes or for enlarging holes that are less than twice the diameter of the cutter. The tungsten carbide surface can easily catch the side of a hole and break the bit.

Burs are typically chucked in air or electric driven die grinders and used in hand operations.
For more stablility, insert the accessory bit all the way into the tool and then back it out slightly before tightening down the collet nut or keyless chuck.

We have metric size and fractional size for industrial carbide burrs.
Meanwhile, we have 3 kinds of different carbide grades named K30, K25, K20 for carbide burrs.

  • Vendor Selection:

When selecting a vendor for burs, users should look for suppliers with modern up to date CNC equipment. In the past burs were hand ground and very inconsistent in quality, and performance. Today burs from top tier manufactures are made on CNC machines designed specifically for grinding burs. They are very high quality and consistent from lot to lot.
